MUMBAI: After having distributed more than 10 films this year in the UK market through independent distributors, Adlabs is finally ready to go solo. Adlabs Films Ltd started its UK operations in May through a new office in London and Krrish will be Adlabs’ first release in UK and US through their own offices.
Pranab Kapadia has been roped in to head UK operations. Adlabs is also planning to distribute 18-24 films this year; like Rakesh Roshan’s Krrish, Sajid Nadiadwala’s Jaanemann, Ravi Chopra’s Baabul and Mani Ratnam’s Guru to name a few.
While distribution of Indian films will be the company’s main business activity, it will also actively explore other business opportunities in the areas of film production and post-production.
