MUMBAI: Aishwarya Rai Bachchan is all set to act and play the role of an executive producer for the Bhopal Movie. The film is based on the story of a young woman’s search for her father, a plant manager on duty the night of the disaster in Bhopal.
The movie was announced outside the Union Carbide factory on the 20th anniversary of the tragedy on 3 December, 2004 and is now in its scripting stage. It is being directed by debutant Zachary Coffin, who acted alongside Angelina Jolie in A Mighty Heart.
Aishwarya will be seen playing the lead in the film. Her co-stars include Irrfan Khan, Anupam Kher, Shobana and Seema Biswas amongst others.
