MUMBAI: For Rohit Shetty’s upcoming action comedy, Ajay Devgn is to play the wrestler Prithviraj Raghuvanshi.
Working hard on his physique with fitness trainer Prashant Sawant, the 43 year old actor has been showing off his physical strength to the cast and crew, and has thus earned himself a new nickname — the Hulk!
During the shooting in Wai near Panchgani, Devgn lifted a 50 kilos traditional akhada equipment known as the ‘ballam’, shocking everyone. Apparently, the director had kept a lighter one for the shoot, but, Ajay insisted on using the real ballam as he wanted the shot to look perfect.
His spokesperson said to the press, "As Ajay Devgn is playing a wrestler in the film he is living up to his strong, tough character." Gymming both mornings and evenings, even just before giving the shots, Ajay has been working out to look all bulked up on the screen. He is strictly avoiding the intake of carbohydrates during the shoot schedule.
