MUMBAI: Akshay Kumar will be the Indian Ambassador for the 2010 Olympic Games and the only star representing the Global Entertainment Industry.

Only 15 International celebrities have been invited to Canada to participate in carrying the Olympic Torch.
A source from the Olympic Committee said, "At a high power and exclusive lunch for 50 CEOs of prominent tourism companies the Canadian PM will introduce Akshay Kumar as the sole torch bearer from India for the Olympics. The Canadian Tourism Commission (CTC) will bring the Olympic Torch to the luncheon."
Akshay Kumar will present the Canadian PM Steven Harper with a token of appreciation and speak on the occasion of being the sole torch bearer from India for the Olympics.
