Mumbai: The Ekta Kapoor-produced The Dirty Picture directed by Milan Luthria will see Anju Mahendroo playing the role of a journalist.
The film features a character inspired by film journalist Devyani Chaubal, who passed away in 1995.
Mahendroo, who knew Devyani on a personal level, will bring nuances of Devyani into her reel-life character.
In the film, Anju’s character has issues with Reshma’s (Vidya Balan) sky-rocketing popularity.
