MUMBAI: Ashutosh Gowariker won the Best Patriotic Film Director for his film Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey at the 17th Lions Club Awards.
Khelein Hum Jee Jaan Sey was Gowariker’s first period thriller and is based on the book Do or Die by Manini Chatterjee which centres on the Chittagong Uprising of the 1930s.
The film stars Abhishek Bachchan and Deepika Padukone in the lead roles and released on 3December, 2010.
