MUMBAI: Balaji Telefilms, will host the first Global Indian Film and Television Honors (GIFTH.

To be held in Mumbai on 12 February, 2011, the event will see 6 main categories namely Popular, Technical, Programming, Achievement (for which there will be no nominations), Special Honors and Voters’ Choice and 30 sub categories.

GIFTH 2010-2011 will be televised on Colors, India’s No.1 GEC on 27 February, 2011.

The best of 2010 will be decided entirely through a combination of jury and public voting, audited by Ernst & Young. The means of public voting will be announced on Colors.

The dissemination of awards will be interspersed by live entertainment by film and television personalities.
