MUMBAI: Vipul Amrutlal Shah is ready to return to filmmaking with his fourth movie, two and a half months after the release of Namastey London.
Sources say Shah’s forthcoming film will sport an unusual title, Singh The King. Shah will produce the film under his banner Blockbuster Movie Entertainers; while Anees Bazmee will hold the directorial reins.
Actor Akshay Kumar, who has starred in Shah’s films including Aankhen, Waqt-The Race Against Time and Namastey London, will play the male lead in the new film. This film is also said to be backed by Adlabs and will be extensively filmed in New York.
While Shah was unavailable for comment, Bazmee does not deny the news, but restricts his comments to, “I am doing a film for Vipul Shah.”
