MUMBAI: Pixion, the post production arm of Century Communication Limited (CCL), has appointed visual graphic talent David Crawford to spearhead its VFX team in India.
Crawford is the man behind Hollywood blockbusters like Spider-Man, Titanic, Mission Impossible 2, XXX, Vanilla Sky and many others. He has over a decade long experience in Hollywood, advertising and post- production and his work has won many awards. He has also worked on major ad films for brands like Nike, Volvo and Burger King.
Says CCL director Anand Tewari, “We are delighted to have our new colleague at Pixion on board. It gives Pixion a strong strategic advantage as the worlds finest in this field are now choosing India as their professional destination and this is a milestone not only for Pixion but also for the Indian Post production industry. This will ensure better production values and would prove as a boon to the growth of Indian Post Production Industry.”
Pixion today employs 200 people, compared to 55 in April 2006. Currently, Pixion is working on around 40 films under various banners to be released in the coming six months and around 80 films are in the pipeline for the year ending 2008.
