MUMBAI: Producers Kumar Mangat and Vishal Bhardwaj plan to release their latest film, No Smoking, in August 2007.
The film has been co-produced by Eros Entertainment and has been written and directed by Anurag Kashyap.
Sources say that No Smoking was supposed to have gone to the Cannes Film Festival but as the film was delayed and the editing and other post-production work was still pending, the release has now been postponed till August.
Says Kumar Mangat, “The post-production work is on in full swing and we are hopeful of releasing the film in August.”
No Smoking, produced under the banner of Big Screen Entertainment, and Vishal Bhardwaj Pictures Pvt Ltd, stars John Abraham, Ayesha Takia, Paresh Rawal, Ranvir Shorey and Sanjay Singh.
Inderjit Chadha is the line producer while Sanjeev Joshi is the executive producer. The lyrics have been penned by Gulzar and Vishal Bhardwaj has provided the music compositions. Cinematography by Rajeev Rai, action by Jai Singh and choreography by Ashley Lobo are the other credits of the film.
