Mumbai: BBC Worldwide has appointed PV Shyam as the distribution head for the South Asian business.
Shyam will be the strategic driver for the distribution of BBC Worldwide Channels and BBC World News for South Asia. In addition to planning and strategising the distribution deals, he will also oversee the operational functions of the business.
Prior to joining BBC Global Channels Shyam’s experience includes a role of vice president, business development at Digital Entertainment Network, subsidiary company of Network 18 ventures. Subsequently, Shyam has had stints at National Geographic Channel and Channel V.
