BIG FM’s Dhanda moves to BIG Broadcasting; Sonu upped


MUMBAI: Reliance Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group’s (ADAG) BIG 92.7 FM vice president programming Manav Dhanda has moved to the company’s broadcasting business BIG Broadcasting.

BIG Broadcasting is slated to launch a bouquet of television channels later this year.

Additionally, BIG FM national creative director Nirupam Sonu has been elevated to the position of vice president programming and will be overseeing the programming function of the stations across India.

Sonu will be spearheading his new role in BIG 92.7 FM based in Mumbai. He will report to BIG 92.7 FM COO Tarun Katial.

Katial said, "Sonu is a core strategist as well a champion of innovations. He is one of those very few people in the industry exposed to all facets of content – planning, packaging, creative and programming. Sonu’s sharp aptitude backed with extensive experience will definitely help the radio category and BIG FM grow more swiftly.
