Mumbai: Big Home Video, in association with Paramount Home Entertainment Global, has released Indiana Jones series – Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of Crystal Skull on home video.
Directed by Steven Spielberg and produced by Frank Marshall, with George Lucas and Kathleen Kennedy as its executive producers, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of Crystal Skull is a thriller packed with sensational spectacles. The film grossed more than $ 780 million at the worldwide box-office.
Big Home Video has chalked out a marketing plan to unleash this adventure on home video. Through a tie-up with the Planet M chain of stores, buyers of the DVD and the VCD have the opportunity of winning attractive early bird prizes and also taking part in a consumer contest to win exclusive Indiana Jones premiums.
Big Home Video is also taking the Indiana Jones experience to a new dimension by offering a ‘Photo opportunity as Indiana Jones’ to consumers at select outlets. Buyers of the DVD can get a photo clicked, dressed up as Indiana Jones, wearing his signature fedora hat along with a rugged Jacket and hand-bag, for a unique Indiana Jones experience.
As part of its above-the-line marketing, Big Home Video is promoting the DVD release of the film on Hollywood movie channels, general entertainment channels, as well as news channels. Big Home Video is also promoting the film through promotion spots on various FM channels in Mumbai, Delhi and other key cities in India.
Big Home Video is reaching out to the urban youth through an exclusive social media marketing campaign on the internet. This campaign would use interactive forums on the internet, social networking sites and Hollywood focused sites to interact with potential customers of the DVD.

Indiana Jones has been released on DVD as a two-disc special collector’s edition at Rs. 699 as well as a single disc DVD at Rs. 599. It presents hours of content that offers in-depth coverage of Steven Spielberg and his cast and crew at work, including pre-production and pre-visualization sequences, photo galleries and a tribute to Indy. This VCD had been released in English at Rs. 299 and in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu at Rs. 99 each.
