Madhur Bhandarkar’s Corporate tables Rs. 3 crore profit

Madhur Bhandarkar’s Page 3 beat back Subhash Ghai’s Kisna on January 21 to be the frit hit of 2005. Bhandarkar even went on to win the National Award for the Best Film. The film made on a budget of Rs. 3 crore recovered a gross of Rs. 11,42,09,304 from all over.

Just like Page 3, Bhandarkar’s second in the trilogy Corporate is also based on the metro-centric lifestyle and revolves around, as the title suggests, the corporate world. Madhur says, “The film is made within the modest budget of Rs. 4 crore and has grossed around Rs. 7 crore. That works out to a cool Rs. 3 crore table profit before the release.”


Likewise the success story started for Madhur Bhandarkar started from 2001. Chandni Bar made at a budget of Rs. 2 crores grossed Rs. 5,84,79,532 from all over.


Madhur Bhandarkar’s Corporate will hit the screen on July 7. A Sahara One Motion Pictures and Percept Picture Company film, it has interesting starcast in the form of Bipasha Basu, Minissha Lamba, Sameer Dattani, Kay Kay Menon, Payal Rohatgi, Raj Babbar, Harsh Chhaya and Rajat Kapoor.


Madhur would move on to direct Signal, his third in the trilogy of metro flicks is nearing completion too.
