Mumbai: Big Music head of content and A&R (Artiste and Repertoire) Rajeeta Hemwani has put in her papers, after a brief stint of nine months.
Prior to Big, Hemwani worked with Times Music for 10 years. Here also, she handled Artiste and Repertoire.
Confirming the development to Businessofcinema.com Hemwani says, "I am currently serving my notice period in the company till the month of April. After this, I am looking at starting my venture and am currently building that up."
Hemwani’s new firm, she says, will look into getting international labels and artists to India, and the launch of new talent and international music sourcing for Indian producers.
"Having worked in the music industry for 16 years with artists such as Asha Bhosle, Ghulam Ali, Jagjit Singh, Ali Zafar, DJ Suketu and DJ Akbar Sami, I am convinced to take this challenge of starting up on my own," says Hemwani.
