Censor Board grants ‘Shanghai’ U/A certificate

Shanghai

MUMBAI:  The Central Board Of Film Certification has granted Dibakar Banerjee’s political thriller "Shanghai" a U/A certificate, after a cut.

"We cleared the film with one cut with a UA certification. Beyond that we saw nothing objectionable in the content, " Censor Board, CEO Pankaja Thakur said to the press.

This is good news for the film-makers. They have even tided over a possible obstacle in the form of a petition filed by organization Bhagat Singh Kranti Sena, against the song ‘Bharat mata ki jai’. Fortunately,  Delhi High Court rejected the petition, Wednesday. Starring Abhay Deol, Kalki Koechlin and Emraan Hashmi, ‘Shanghai’ is to hit screens tomorrow, 8th June.
