MUMBAI: Centilian, Inc has launched the first ever streaming video application for the Apple iPhone called Bollyhood, which offers Indian films’ video content.
Taking advantage of the new mobile video format announced by Apple at its Worldwide Developer Conference (WWDC), Bollyhood delivers instant video-on-demand to Bollywood fans worldwide.
Bollyhood allows iPhone owners to stream free movie trailers, behind the scenes footage, interviews, news, gossip, music videos and other exclusive video content. Users can browse new and featured content, rate clips, share clips with friends on Facebook and will soon be able to watch TV shows and full length movies on their iPhone.
Centilian, Inc is working with Bollywood studios to offer users an engaging platform that brings exclusive video content to their iPhone. Videos from Eros International are already available on the Bollyhood application.
Centilian, Inc. CEO Pratik Jhaveri said, "We aim to be the single source for Bollywood video content on mobile devices starting with the iPhone. As part of the iPhone launch, we will show videos from upcoming blockbusters such as Eros International’s Kambakkht Ishq and are working with other leading studios to offer longer length content such as TV shows and full length movies."
Bollyhood also offers marketing opportunities for content owners and advertisers looking to reach mobile users on the iPhone. Bollywood content owners can promote their latest videos directly to this audience worldwide and advertisers are able to target users with global or local advertisements on the application. The Bollyhood application is available on the Apple iTunes store.
