Chopra eyes August for Bhootnath completion

MUMBAI: Producer Ravi Chopra’s latest venture Bhootnath, which faced a series of teething problems, is now headed towards completion.

The film, which went on the floors in mid-October 2006, is likely to be wrapped up by August this year.

Says Chopra, “I have got dates from all the artistes, including Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan. In fact, Khan has allotted dates from 29 April, 2007 and we are commencing shooting for the film from then. By August end, we will have completed our film in all respects.”

Bhootnath revolves around the friendship of a mischievous child and a troubled ghost, played by Bachchan. The film is being co-produced by Chopra with Studio 18 and is directed by debutante Vivek Sharma, who has earlier assisted Mahesh Bhatt on Phir Teri Kahanai Yaad Aayee, Sir, Najaayaz, Chahat and filmmaker Tinnu Anand on Major Saab. Bhootnath also features Juhi Chawla, child artiste Aman Siddiqui, Rajpal Yadav and Satish Shah.
