MUMBAI: The next shooting spell for Abbas-Mastan’s Race will be held in Dubai in May 2007.
A major chunk of the shooting was completed in Cape Town, South Africa, earlier this year. The film is produced by Tips.
A source close to the director duo reveals that lead actor Saif Ali Khan’s illness had put the project on hold. Now that Khan has resumed work, sources say that he has consented to return to shoot for Race in May. The film will be shot in Dubai in the first week of May. Katrina Kaif plays the female lead in the film.
The film also stars Anil Kapoor, Akshaye Khanna, Bipasha Basu, Katrina Kaif and Sameera Reddy. Saif and Akshaye play half brothers and are into horse racing in the film. They own a stud farm in Cape Town. Katrina plays their secretary while Bipasha plays an upcoming ramp model. Anil plays a police detective with Sameera as his personal assistant, it is learnt.
