MUMBAI: The Cinemax chain of theatres will be the venue partner for the Cape Town Bollywood Film Festival to held at Cape Town, South Africa from 25 to 27 May 2007.
Eminent personalities from the Indian film fraternity will attend the festival. CTBFF has identified Cinemax as the official and sole venue partners for their exposure in India, says a release.
The Cape Town Bollywood Film Festival seeks to promote Bollywood cinema to a South African audience with an aim to promote and expose developed products in the film and television industry to the international arena, and to provide development and training support to individuals with little or no knowledge or experience of the industry. The festival will provide a platform for established and upcoming film professionals alike. CPTBFF aims to launch and premiere films at an international level on an ongoing basis, the release adds.
Says Avalon group of cinemas’ managing director A B Moosa, “We believe that Indian cinema has great potential in, and relevance for the international market which triggered the concept for the festival.”
Actors Manoj Bajpai, Tara Sharma and Purab Kohli attended the press conference organised by Cinemax, the release adds.
