Deol to make Ghayal II with K Sera Sera

MUMBAI: Sunny Deol has chalked out some big plans for production. The actor has joined hands with K Sera Sera for as many as seven projects, one of them being Ghayal II.

K Sera Sera CEO Parag Sanghvi says, “We are planning to do as many as seven films with Sunny Deol. In most of them Sunny will feature in the lead. We are beginning with three films at present and the first one will be Ghayal II, which will be directed by Tigmanshu Dhulia.

Dhulia confirms the development. “Yes, it is true I will be directing Ghayal II produced by Sunny Deol and K Sera Sera. The script has been finalized and I will be able to give more details in a couple of weeks.”

Pertinent to note here is that Ghayal was directed Rajkumar Santoshi and was touted as the comeback vehicle of Sunny Deol.

Of the other two films, one will be written and directed by Neeraj Pathak while the second is still under finalization.

Pathak had written the screenplay of Pardes in 1997, followed by Jurm in 2005. In the midst he had penned lyrics for Chahat and written dialogue for Hum To Mohabbat Karega (2000), Deewangee (2002) and the yet to be released Iqraar – By Chance. His debute film as a director – Gumnam – The Unknown – is still awaiting release since the last four – five years.

Dhulia has earlier directed two films; viz; Haasil in 2003 and Charas – A Joint Operation in 2004. Both films had bombed at the box-office. He had written the dialogue for Dil Se in 1998, Bas Itna Sa Khwaab Hai in 2001 and Family – Ties of Blood this year.
