MUMBAI: zoOm has strengthened its position in the global markets through its launch in Mauritius starting April 2011.
Present in 16 countries apart from India, zoOm will be available on Mauritius Broadcasting Corporation’s DTH platform DVB-T. The channel, part of the Times Television Network, will bring the viewers closer to the biggest stars of the Indian film industry.
Apart from Mauritius Broadcasting Corporation’s DVB-T, zoOm will also be available on other DTH platforms like DSTV, My-TV Orange Telecom, Parabole Maurice and Canalsat Maurice. Besides the Indian diaspora that comprises of 68 per cent of the television viewers in Mauritius, zoOm will be targeting Mauritians who are very familiar with the Indian culture and are also widely involved in what’s going on in the world of Bollywood.
The channel is also available in USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Maldives, Kenya, Nepal, Tanzania, Uganda, Sudan, Ethiopia, Rwanda, Malawi, Dubai, Eritrea and Burundi.
