MUMBAI: Until now it was remakes that were hitting the headlines; now its sequels. While Rakesh Roshan (KoiÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â€šÂ¬Ã‚Â¦ Mil Gaya and Krrish) and Vidhu Vinod Chopra (Munnabhai M.B.B.S and Lage Raho Munnabhai) are considering their trilogy, producer Firoz Nadiadwala has beaten them in the race.
After the success of Hera Pheri (directed by Priyadarshan), followed by Phir Hera Pheri (directed by Neeraj Vora); Nadiadwala is now eyeing the third part, which is tentatively titled Hera Pheri III.
The film will be written and directed by Anees Bazmee and will be produced under the banner of Base Industries Group. It will be presented by A.A. Nadiadwala.
Nadiadwala says, “Yes, it’s true that I am making the third part on Hera Pheri. Both the part has yielded profits. Laugh-riot films are always considered favourable at the box-office. This time Anees Bazmee will handle the directorial reigns. Presently, we are busy with pre-production.ÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â€šÂ¬Ã‚Â
The trio of Hera Pheri and Phir Hera Pheri – Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty and Paresh Rawal – will be retained in the third film too. Nadiadwala informs that the female star cast is still under consideration and will be finalized soon. ÃƒÂ¢Ã¢â€šÂ¬Ã…â€œWe will launch the movie soon and we are looking at releasing the film in Diwali next year. Not only this, we will be releasing the film with a minimum number of 1500 prints worldwide.”
