MUMBAI: Bombay distributor Dilip Dhanwani has acquired the Bombay theatrical rights and also the overseas rights of the Hindi dubbed version of the Telugu film language Satya – The Sarkar.
Says Dhanwani, “I have acquired the Hindi dubbed version of the Telugu hit Satya – The Sarkar. The film stars Urmila Matondkar, Jagapathi Babu, C Srinivas Rao, Rani Reddy, Revathy and Chiranjeevi in a special appearance.”
The film has been directed by Ram Gopal Varma while Mani Ratnam has written the story and screenplay. The film is being slated for a 30 March 2007 release. “Talks are on for the film’s release in parts of Gujarat, Saurashtra and Maharashtra. There are reasonably good offers and I will clinch the deal soon,” he adds.
