DishTV expands movie offers to viewers

MUMBAI: Direct to Home (DTH) service provider DishTV is getting bullish on offering the latest Hollywood and Bollywood films to its subscriber base.


 


While the service provider has acquired the rights of Jab We Met and already started offering the film to its viewers, DishTV has also tied up with Buena Vista International Television – Asia Pacific for the latest movies. The selected Bollywood or Hollywood movie can be viewed on the date, day and time suitable to viewers.


 


The tie-up with Buena Vista offers an opportunity to DishTV subscribers to order Hollywood movies directly on their television sets and the movie is made available to them within a span of five to 10 minutes of ordering.


 


Sony Pictures’ Spider-Man 3 will also be made available on DishTV soon. And they have been airing recent films like Dhol and Dhammal. Some Hollywood movies that DishTV has aired are Gone in 60 Seconds, The Recruit, Pearl Harbour, The Witch and The Wardrobe, Enemy of the State, Signs, The Sixth Sense, Casanova, Pretty Woman, Herbie: Fully Loaded, Bruce Almighty, The Princess Diaries, Runaway Bride, Three Men & a Baby, The Waterboy, Cinderella Man, Flight Plan, King Arthur, Phenomenon and Six Days Seven Nights.


 


DishTV also has a special package price for kids under their Kids Summer Bonanza offer. Kids will be able to watch four animation titles from the Disney/ Pixar library along with 20 other movies. Some titles include Cars, Chicken Little, Aladdin and Jungle Book 2, 102 Dalmatians in English and Makdee, Tarzan – The Wonder Car, Chachi 420 and Munna Bhai M.B.B.S in Hindi. The usual night movie band, post 11 pm, continues with movies for adults such as While You Were Sleeping, Runaway Bride etc. in English and Aitraaz, Garam Masala in Hindi.


 


DishTV has allocated four dedicated channels to MOD (movies on demand) and the viewer can watch movies in any of these channels. What’s more, once a movie has been ordered, the viewer can repeat telecast of the movie/s for as many times as they want (for the next 24 hours on the four dedicated channels).
