MUMBAI: V Kumar, brother of veteran East Punjab distributor Surinder Sabharwal, has forayed into film production.
Kumar plans to produce multiple big-budget films and music albums under his banner, V G Production. Says Kumar, “My maiden film is titled Hum Mil Gaye. My first music album is a remixed version and titled Sheesha Se Pee. The second one is tentatively titled Mere Khwabon Mein Jo Aaye. The second album too is similarly titled. Both films are big budget ventures and will be musical entertainers for the entire family. Both are in the pre-production stages right now.”
Kumar’s family has been involved in film distribution since 1972, having released many films produced by Ramesh Behl under the CK Entertainment banner. “We even distributed Chandni, Lamhe, Indrajeet, Virrudh, Akeyla, Guru, Mujhse Shaadi Karoge and Jaan-e-Mann,” adds Kumar.
