MUMBAI: The Slumdog Millionaire novel, authored by Vikas Swarup and autographed by the film’s stars Dev Patel & Freida Pinto has been put up for charity auction live on eBay India starting from 16 February – 28 February, 2009.The auction is presented by eBay India & Plan India
Plan India Lalita Sachdeva said, "Plan India has been associated with the critically acclaimed movie Slumdog Millionaire. Anil Kapoor who is an active supporter & patron of PlanIndia Foundation has donated his entire fee from the movie for one of Plan India’s projects to prevent the trafficking of young girls for exploitation in the sex trade (one of the issues featured in the film). With the auction of the exclusive books on eBay India, we hope to raise funds to create awareness about the cause".
