MUMBAI: In a first of its kind, Balaji Telefilms creative director Ekta Kapoor is all set to star in Sony Entertainment Television’s show CID.
The soap queen will feature in the show to promote her upcoming movie – Ragini MMS. Kapoor recently shot for a special episode of CID in which she plays herself.
The theme of the special episode is around Ragini MMS and is scheduled to telecast on Friday, 13 May, which is also the day when the movie releases in theatres.
When Kapoor reached the sets to shoot, she met a number of unit members and actors, who had started their career with Balaji. Kapoor said, "It was nice to see a string of familiar faces. They were so nervous to shoot with me."
However, this is only a one-off TV appearance for Kapoor. She adds, "I’ve only done this for Ragini!"
Sony is also planning a major promotional campaign around Kapoor’s appearance on CID to promote Ragini MMS.
