MUMBAI: Esha Deol and Anupam Kher will star in director Kalpana Lajmi’s forthcoming comedy film.
The as yet untitled movie is being produced by Harish Shah and Vinod Shah and will go on the floors in February or March 2007.
“Esha Deol and Anupam Kher have agreed to play the leads in my film, and the rest of the cast is yet to be finalised. I have always wanted to try my hand at comedy,” says Lajmi. “The story is written by Bunty Rathod and based on Patrick Biswas’ concept. This is my first film, which will not have a woman-oriented theme. I don’t want to disclose the story line, but it will be a huge entertainer for the audience.”
Lajmi plans to start the comedy venture before she takes up her next film produced by Mahendra Dhariwal, which stars Isha Koppikar.
