MUMBAI: Producer Mahendra Dhariwal is all set to start an international project with director Kalpana Lajmi in March. Lajmi had narrated the script to Bipasha Basu and was waiting for her approval. However, the latest on that front is that Bipasha has been replaced by Esha Deol.
This untitled movie will be made in two languages – English and Hindi and will be released in India and abroad.
“Kalpanaji has already narrated the script to Bipasha Basu and she had liked the script but due to date problems she has been replaced by Esha Deol. We wanted to start the project in March and Bipasha’s dates were committed to another producer,” says Dhariwal.
“We have also signed Rituaparna and are finalizing one hero and heroine for this project,” he adds.
The film will be shot in a 40 days start to finish schedule in Bikaner and Jaisalmer from March 2007. “The budget of the movie will be around Rs 90 million (Rs 9 crores),” informs Dhariwal.
