Tanuja Chandra’s film invited for Pak fest

MUMBAI: Director Tanuja Chandra’s English film Hope and a Little Sugar has been invited for a Pakistani festival called Kara Film Festival, which is to be held in Karchi.

The film, which is based on the aftermath of 11 September attacks in the US, has won the best feature film award at the South Asian Film Festival held recently in New York and was also screened at various international film festivals.

“I am very happy and delighted that the Kara Film Festival has invited our movie Hope and a Little Sugar to be screened. My producers from New York are coming to India this week since our movie has also been selected for the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) 2006 to be held in Goa,” says Chandra.

“We will head to Pakistan after that. Mahesh Bhatt, who is the biggest supporter of this Pakistani film festival, is going to Karachi along with Anupam Kher,” she adds.
