MUMBAI: Excel Home Videos and NDTV Lumiere have released modern controversial film-maker Kim Ki-Duk’s internationally acclaimed movie Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter…and Spring (2003) and Time (2006) on DVD.
Known for story-telling that is a visually captivating exploration of the essence of human nature, Kim Ki-Duk is a self-taught maverick film-maker in Korean cinema. Since his debut with Crocodile in 1996, he has been evaluated and hailed both by critics and audiences for his hard-to express characters, shocking visuals and unprecedented messages. Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter… and Spring marks his ninth film and his most stunning yet to date.
Since his films usually have a radical perspective on Korean society and focus on marginal people, they are not considered huge blockbuster hits, but they do have a huge cult following in the festival circuit.
Both the DVDs will be available in all leading stores for Rs 499 each.
