MUMBAI: Director Vishal Bharadwaj, who has just completed shooting his film Saat Khoon Maaf, will soon be heading to Kolkatta to shoot his next film Dream Sequence.
What’s more, according to sources close to the development, the director has roped in his Saat Khoon Maaf actress Priyanka Chopra for Dream Sequence too. There was buzz doing the rounds that Bharadwaj had approached Deepika Padukone to play one of the leads in the film but it did not materialize due to date problems.
Additionally, Bharadwaj is also in talks with Vidya Balan and Shahid Kapur to play the second lead and the male lead respectively in Dream Sequence.
A source close to the film tells Businessofcinema.com that 50 percent of the film will be shot in Kolkatta. "Vishal has already canned some shots for the film during the Durga puja in Kolkatta recently. The shots capture the live puja festivity in Kolkatta. If everything goes as planned, the film will go on floors by end January, 2011," added the source.
Bharadwaj’s Saath Khoon Maaf stars Chopra in the lead role along with Naseeruddin Shah, John Abraham, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Irrfan Khan, Annu Kapoor and Vivaan Shah. The film is based on the Ruskin Bond book, Susanna’s Seven Husbands and is slated to release on 21 January, 2011.
