Mumbai: Remember the song ‘Ladki ki hai kya? yeh baba’ a pretty girl dancing with Anil Kumar in Laadla, she was the first item girl – Vaishnavi, the song entered all chart busters, then she went on to act in Bambai Ka Babu, Maidan –E-Jung and Barsaat Ki Ek Raat.
Vaishnavi is all set to make a new career move this season. The actor is soon going to sing an Indi-pop number in down south Cochin with music maestro Sunny Vishvanathan. She says,” I am a little weary of doing those clichéd roles. Sunny had asked me to sing since a long time but it just didn’t happen before. But now I have agreed and let’s hope things work out well.”
The actor plans to cut out an album soon if the song turns out to be the way they imagined. The actor who is a qualified nutritionist herself thinks, “I am capable of doing more challenging roles than what’s being offered to me at the moment. I don’t even mind trying my hand at a negative character.”
Vaishnavi would also be seen in Ravi Chopra’s Babul where she plays a modern, out going daughter-in-law of the family and will sport a different look too which has been specially designed by Renu Chopra herself.
