Fun Cinemas launches royalty programme

MUMBAI: E-City Ventures promoted Fun Cinemas has launched a ‘Make-A-Deal’ programme for its loyal patrons beginning 25 June 2007 in Mumbai.

This program offers each member customised promotions based on their specific habits and preferences. It combines the latest in technology and personalisation and provides all customers a unique and redefined entertainment experience, claims the company.

The ‘Make-A-Deal’ programme will give patrons the opportunity to avail of this promotion under the already existing Fun Rewards loyalty program. Make-A-Deal promises every card holder the freedom to create and avail of personalised promotions every time they walk into a Fun Cinema. With over 200 unique promos, Fun Cinemas ensures that a customer is not offered the same promotion twice. Another unique add-on feature, the Make-A-Deal program gives patrons the benefit of receiving a mini-statement of their last 10 visits.

The programme is designed using a patented (w)Rite Card and Active Promotions technology developed by GE Global Research Centre, Bangalore, which aims to deliver personalised promotions on a real-time basis to each member. Leveraging on their cutting edge research on Analytics and Delivery Technology for Loyalty Platforms of the future, GE Global Research designed and helped to operationalise this programme in line with Fun Cinemas Marketing and CRM strategy.

Says Fun Cinemas operations COO Vishal Kapur, “Fun Rewards loyalty programme is targeted for all our loyal members and focused to enroll new members by giving them instant benefits, whereas Make-a-Deal takes it to another level and focuses on every individual loyalty member by rewarding the most profitable customers. This programme is the first of its kind and hasn’t been practiced ever before in Indian entertainment and retail space-where a loyalty card is used to offer personalised promotions based on smart card analytics.”
