Mumbai: Helen will soon be seen in her bollywood comeback film Bachpan, directed by debutante director Rajiv Sharma.
Reminiscent of last year hit Taare Zameen Par, Bachpan is a musical family saga, seen from the perspective of children. As one trade insider who has seen the rushes of the film commented, "Where TZP ends, Bachpan begins in exploring storytelling from the viewpoint of kids."
Director Rajiv had conceived Bachpan, and through the entire time span, visualized Helenji playing the character of the grandmother in his maiden film.
Helen says, "The script was simply amazing. And when I read it, I was so overwhelmed, that I decided I had to do it. I have also recently seen the rushes of Bachpan and liked the way it has shaped up immensely."
Helen will be joined by another actress Padmini Kolhapure and four children.
Sharma has earlier assisted Sanjay Leela Bhansali for Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam, Satish Kaushik for Tere Naam and had been associated as a Creative Director for Firoz Nadiadwala for Phir Hera Pheri, Deewane Huye Paagal & Welcome.
