Fanaa has grossed US$1 million in 2 weeks in the Middle East which is a record of sorts. In the UK, the film has made £1 million in 3 weeks and in the US it has grossed US$1.7 million in 3 weeks. This speaks volumes about the Aamir Khan- Kajol combination backed by the Yash Raj banner.
Incidentally it’s opening weekend Fanaa, Grossed AED 1,907,808 in the first 3 days from 39 screens across the UAE. The full first week grossed AED 2,591,863 creating a staggering print average of AED 117, 811.95. Thus for the UAE it is the highest grosser ever for an Indian film in the opening week.
It crossed the £1million UK box office in the first 21 days of release becoming UK’s 8 th highest grossing Indian film of all time. Fanaa is the only Indian film to gross £1million at the UK box office since the last Yash Raj Film, Veer Zaara in 2004. With Fanaa Yash Raj Films now have 7 titles in the UK top 10 list of all time highest grossing Indian films.
