MUMBAI: Indra Kumar has been out of the social circuit for some time now. He has been keeping himself occupied penning the last few scenes for his latest film, a sequel to the hit Dhamaal. The film will go on floors mid August.
Speaking to Businessofcinema.com, Kumar said, "I am preparing for a sequel to Dhamaal, which will be called Dhamaal 2. It will take off where the first part ended."
Dhamaal was the story of four idiots and a police inspector. Riteish Deshmukh, Jaaved Jaffri, Arshad Warsi, Ashish Chowdhary play the four bumbling idiots, while Sanjay Dutt essayed the character of a police officer. In an attempt to make quick money, the quadrate, unknowingly save a dying man, who has been on the run from the police from a heist, but the man dies, with the cops now on their trail.
The comic caper released in 2007 and since then Indra Kumar has been working to make the second part come to life. He adds, "The cast will be the same. Riteish, Arshad, Jaaved, Sanjay Dutt have all been signed. I will also be casting two heroines. Although the first film did not have any, in this film we have decided that we do need two faces and they will be established actresses."
