Inox Q1 net up 31% at Rs 119.6 million

MUMBAI: Multiplex chain Inox Leisure Limited has reported a net profit of Rs 109.6 million (Rs 10.96 crores) for the quarter ended 30 June 2007, which is up 31 per cent as compared to Rs 83.7 million (Rs 8.73 crores) in the corresponding quarter of the previous year.




EBITDA saw a growth of 29 per cent from Rs 135.6 million (Rs 13.56 crores) in 2006-07 to Rs 174.8 million (Rs 17.48 crores) in 2007-08.




Inox reported a 34 per cent increase in total revenues from Rs 405.3 million (Rs 40.53 crores) in 2006-07 to Rs 540.7 million (Rs 54.07 crores) in 2007-08 for the quarter ended 30 June 2007.





Inox Leisure Ltd director Deepak Asher said, “Our results reflect Inox’s ability to maintain its profit leadership position along with a high growth momentum. Going forward we remain focused on creating India’s largest network of world class multiplexes across the country.”




The company has up to 15 properties under operation in Q1 2007-08 from 11 last year. The number of screens under operation are up to 54 in Q1 2007-08 from 41 last year. Footfalls have increased by 38 per cent to 2,968,373 in Q1 2007-08 from 2,153,818 last year.
