BIG Music acquires Dhamaal, Go music rights

MUMBAI: Reliance Anil Dhirubhai Ambani Group’s (R-ADAG) BIG Music is on a roll. After the music launch of Marigold and Cash, the company is set to acquire music rights of the forthcoming film Dhamaal and Ram Gopal Varma’s Go.

Dhamaal stars Sanjay Dutt, Arshad Warsi, Javed Jaffrey and Riteish Deshmukh. The music is scheduled for release on 10 August, while the movie will release on 7 September. It has been produced by Ashok Thakeria-Indra Kumar. The music of the film is by Adnan Sami. Lyrics are by Sameer, with Asha Bhonsle, Amit Kumar, Shaan and Adnan Sami lending their voices to the songs.


On the other hand, Go stars Gautam Gupta and Nisha Kothari and is directed by Manish Srivastav. The film has been produced by Future Works and has music by Sneha Khanwalker.


BIG Music & Home Entertainment CEO Kulmeet Makkar says, “We have series of film and non-film projects due for release in coming months. We are looking forward to building a strong relationship within the industry and encouraging new talent. At the same time, we are equally committed to providing variety and high-quality content to music and movie fans.”


Apart from this, Big Music in collaboration with Reliance Communications has also released the music of Marigold and Cash in Pakistan. Both films are among the first few Bollywood movies to have their music released in the neighbouring country. The music cassettes and CDs of both films are already available in the local markets there, with BIG already making plans for other releases as well.
