Mumbai: Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s sequel to Munnabhai M.B.B.S – Lage Raho Munnabhai – came with its own set of controversies. Still buoyant on the former’s success, Chopra has high expectations from the latter and is thence standing firm on his demand of a 50:50 revenue sharing ratio with multiplex owners.
Until now, none other than Fame, Movietime, Velocity (Indore) and 17 multiplexes in Gujarat agreed to the demands. However, Inox has agreed to a 50:50 revenue sharing ratio with Vinod Chopra Productions. Other multiplexes like PVR and Cinemax are still to take a stand and the decision is expected to come tomorrow (1 September).
According to information available with Businessofcinema.com, PVR is not likely to succumb to the demands of the producer.
