MUMBAI: After a hiatus of five – six years director Raj N Sippy is back. He has completed two films starring Mimoh Chakraborty (son of Mithun Chakraborty) titled Jimmy and The Murderr.
What’s more, Sippy has also caught on to the remake fever and is remaking two films – his 1982 film Satte Pe Satta and director Hrishikesh Mukherjee’s 1975 hit Chupke Chupke.
Confirming the development to Businessofcinema.com, Sippy says, “Satte Pe Satta will be called Seven and be a musical. This time instead of the seven brothers, it will have five brothers and two sisters. I will not repeat any stars from the earlier film. Sanjay Dutt will play the role of Amitabh Bachchan. I share a good rapport with Sanju as I had directed him in Thanedaar. I will approach him after he is free from the case. Regarding Chupke Chupke, we had produced the film and will make few changes in the script. Both are big budget films and will be launched in 2007.”
