MUMBAI: Producer Kesar Kothari’s Rehguzar is scheduled to release on November 17. The movie is written and directed by Faruq Masudi and stars Jimmy Shergill, Salloni and Pakistani actors Qawi Khan and Aurangazeb Legari. Rehguzar is based on the real life of labourers in labour camps in Dubai, and is shot in Dubai itself.
“This film will hit the screens on November 17 all over. Rehguzar is an eye opener for people back in India. They will know that life is not so easy for their bread earning loved ones in the Gulf. In labour camps, one toilet is used by 20-30 men. There are incidences of fights, which appear in newspapers like Khaleej Times daily. The film deals with this issue and depicts the life of the labourers in such camps. This is about the helpless labour class, which comes from different countries in the Gulf, dreaming that life will be a bed of roses once they get there,†says Kothari.
“Eros has acquired the overseas and Indian video rights of my movie. In the rest of the country, we will be releasing the film in the domestic market through our company Elfit Exports Pvt. Ltd. In Mumbai, we will release it ourselves, while in other parts we are doing it with other companies — Delhi: G.S. Mayawala, Punjab: Supreme Intnl, Andhr & Nizam: Vijay Laxmi Films, C.P.: Kalyan Pictures, C.I.: Sanman Films, Rajasthan: Shree Kalyan. West Bengal & Eastern Circuit: Padmini Picts. Pvt. Ltd.
