Mumbai: Aloo Chaat, a film by Mirchi Movies in association with Anuj Saxena’s Maverick Productions, has completed and the marketing campaign has begun.
The film marks the debut of television actor Aamna Shariff opposite Aftab Shivdasani and also stars Linda, who was previously seen in Mumbai Salsa and Kabul Express. Subsequently, it also marks the return of director Robby Grewal who last directed the film Mera Pehla Pehla Pyaar (MP3) and Sushmita Sen-starrer Samay.
Speaking about the film Grewal said, "The film is about a middle class Punjabi family and Aftab plays the son who has just come back from the US. He meets a girl, there’s lots of confusion and chaos. It’s a very realistic and a funny film."
He further added "As the name suggests the film is all about life and fun. Its a complete family entertainer, we hope that everybody enjoys it."
While the film is being pushed for a December release, the marketing campaign for the film is scheduled to begin shortly which will include ground events and activities in addition to the conventional use of existing mediums.
