Traffic Signal banned in Himachal Pradesh


 



MUMBAI : Percept and Madhur Bhandarkar’s Traffic Signal  has been banned.


 


Madhur Bhandarkar the director of the movie has confirmed. He says, “Rumours are rife in Himachal Pradesh’s Kinnaur district, because in the film the eunuchs are referred to as ‘kinners’. The mountain tribals claim that they are referred by that name and not the enuchs. They are said to taken the reference as an insult.”


 


Ashok Ahuja, the distribution head says, “Yeah! My Punjab exhibitor Vicky of J.K. has informed me today that due to some problems the film cannot be released in Simla and some other parts of Himachal Pradesh.”


 


Vicky was unavailable for comment. Further, it is said that the people of Kinnaur were given the status of Scheduled Caste under Indian constitution in 1956. As of today, the said tribe is a progressive one and also includes some richest farmers amongst them.
