Mumbai: Juhi Chawla has lent her voice for the character of Yashoda in animated film “Krishna Aur Kans”. The actress says being a mother helped her to portray emotional scenes in the right way.
“Being a mom helped me a lot while doing the voice acting, especially when Krishna was taken away by the demon. I had to feel that moment, if such a thing happens with my son Arjun, then what emotions will I feel. When you feel it’s happening to yourself, delivery of dialogues starts sounding real,” Juhi said in a statement.
Written by Kamlesh Pandey, the animation film has been sent on the floors after four years of research. It took the makers another five years to create the magnum opus. As many as 1,200 have been working on the project.
The other voiceover artists in the movie are Om Puri as Kans, Prachi Save as Krishna, Manoj Bajpayee as Nand, Sachin Pilgaonkar as Vasudev, Supriya Pilgaonkar as Devaki, A.K. Hangal as King Ugrasen and Anupam Kher as Gargacharya.
Produced by Reliance Animation, the film is directed by Vikram Veturi. It will release Aug 3.
