MUMBAI: Reliance Entertainment’s Jump Games has inked a deal with Manchester United Football Club as their official mobile games partner.
Jump Games has signed an exclusive global deal to design, develop and distribute mobile games with Manchester United. 2008 will see six exclusive games based on the football club coming out of Jump Games’ kitty.
The global tie up and game announcements were celebrated in London and Mumbai. A video message from the club’s manager Sir Alex Ferguson stated, “Manchester United, all of us, are delighted in our new arrangement with Jump Games. I think it’s a fantastic venture. And to all our fans all over the world it’s an opportunity to get yourselves involved in it.”
Reliance Entertainment president Rajesh Sawhney said, “Reliance Entertainment is committed to forefront Reliance Group’s foray into the media and entertainment space. Jump Games’ tie-up with Manchester United brings us a step closer to our core focus on providing quality entertainment to audiences across the globe. With Manchester United on board, we can look forward to setting global standards in the mobile entertainment space.”

The first of the six Manchester United mobile games, called Manchester United Word It! will be available on all top operators globally. On the occasion, Manchester United director of media Sameer Pabari commented, “Manchester United is excited to enter into this partnership with Jump. We believe that this relationship will allow us to offer market leading mobile games to our global fan base and will enhance Manchester United’s portfolio of mobile products and services.”
Jump will be working on a mixture of mobile games content with Manchester United, which will reflect the excitement and interest globally in the team, the club and its players. The games developed by Jump Games will be available globally through local network operators.
