MUMBAI: Actor Kay Kay Menon will be seen playing 14 different roles in a film titled Drream Man, which is directed by Makrand Deshpande. Menon is playing the lead role in the movie and will be portraying the role of a businessman, rock star, police officer, journalist and milk man amongst others.
When quizzed about his role Menon said, “This is the first time that I am doing such a film in which I am playing different characters. I play the Dream Man in the film, who gives hope to every dreamer and thereby helps him achieve his dreams.”
The film is based on the life of two aspiring youngsters who come to Mumbai chasing their dreams. One is an aspiring actor (Afzaal Khan) and other (Amit Mistry) is a struggling singer. Amit Mistry’s love interest is played by Vasudha (lead singer of band ASMA), who will be making her acting debut with this film.
Recently the song ‘Do Kadam’, which has been sung by Sukhwinder Singh was picturised on Menon along with Vasudha, Afzaal Khan and Amit Mistry at Basra studio.
Commenting on the subject of the film, director Makrand Deshpande said, “Every person has a dream and one should know whether the dream is realistic or not and if it is, then Dream Man is that person who keeps the hope alive in the dreamer. In the chase of your dream you tend to imagine that every person is motivating you towards your goal, every motivating person becomes your dream man, thus Kay Kay who is playing the dream man has been shown in different getups in the film.”
