MUMBAI: Kripa Shankar Singh unveils the nominees of the 5th Bhojpuri Film Awards.

Singh was the guest of honor. According to Singh, Bhojpuri Cinema has grown not only in terms of money but also in term of its audience. It has been recommended to consider Bhojpuri in the 8th Constitution of the Country to give it a nationwide reach.
Besides Singh, actress turned politician, Kunika Lal and Surendra Pal, who has ventured into producing and directing Bhojpuri films, were also present at the event.
Bhojpuri Awards founder Vinod Gupta, feels his effort to make Bhojpuri Cinema known to all has turned into reality. Today it is no longer restricted to a particular society. Audience all over the country has started to enjoy Bhojpuri Cinema, which has established a strong market down South too. "It is that time of the year to reward the cast and crew of this particular segment to enhance their performance and make the market grow even further."
