MUMBAI: Excel Entertainment’s Luck by Chance will be screened at the Engendered Film Festival at New York.
Luck By Chance was Zoya Akhtar’s directorial debut and was co-produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar. It stars Konkana Sen Sharma and Farhan Akhtar in the lead roles.
The film has been chosen as the closing film at the festival, which concludes on 30 August at the Engendered Film Festival, which brings together bold and contemporary cinema and is a transnational arts and human rights organization.
Films range from independent Hollywood, Bollywood and also short films and documentaries from India, Sri Lanka, Pakistan including the Diaspora in Australia and the United States.
Speaking to Businessofcinema.com, Zoya Akhtar, who will be accompanied by her brother Farhan to the festival, says, "I am really excited to have Luck By Chance screened at the Engendered Film Festival at New York. Engendered Film Festival is a platform for Indian cinema in New York and it’s great to be represented and featured with such gusto."
